C\u00e9line Dion\u2018s husband, Ren\u00e9 Ang\u00e9lil, has died after long battle with cancer.<\/p>\n

The 73-year-old, who also mentored and managed the iconic singer\u2019s career, passed away in his Las Vegas home Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is with deep sadness that we announce that Ren\u00e9 Ang\u00e9lil, aged 73, died this morning at his residence in Las Vegas after a long and courageous fight against cancer,\u201d Dion\u2019s camp said through a statement on her Facebook page.<\/p>\n

Celine, who had taken a break off her musical career to nurse and be with Rene, is said to be distraught and wants to mourn him privately.
\u201cThe family wishes to live the mourning in privacy. Other information you will be provided in the next few days.\u201d<\/p>\n

He is survived by their children Ren\u00e9-Charles, 14, and 5-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy including his adult children from a previous relationship, Anne-Marie, Patrick and Jean-Pierre.\u00a0<\/p>\n
