The suspected terrorists that last night killed the leader of
\nSallafiyah in Zaria, Kaduna State, Sheik Muhammad Awwal Adam popularly
\nknown as “Albani Zaria” trailed the Islamic scholar and his family from
\nhis Tudun Wada school in Zaria. His family told SaharaReporters in a
\ntelephone interview.<\/p>\n

The family said he was on his way to his home in Tudun Jukun area
\nwhen the men opened fire on them and instantly killed his wife and son,
\nthe scholar was dragged out of the car and shot by the gunmen before
\nthey escaped.<\/p>\n

Albani, according to his relation Mallam Muhammad Kabir was trailed
\nby unknown killers, he said, “What we can\u2019t deduce why he was trailed
\nfrom his Tudun Wada school on his way to his home in Tudun Jukun area.
\nIt was around 10pm, they opened fire on his car, the wife and the son
\ndied on the spot. They then pulled him out of the car and shot him
\nseveral times because we found his body on the ground riddled with
\nbullets and soaked in blood. They escaped after carrying out the act.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAlbani is peace loving man and who interested in deep knowledge and
\nscholarship, who runs two schools,one is the Darul Sallafiya and
\nAlbani Science Academy all in Zaria and believes in the superiority of
\nknowledge and research as a guiding light of Islam contrary to some
\nshallow doctrines,\u201d he said<\/p>\n

Albani, his wife and son will be buried this morning by 10 am after
\nprayers in their home before final rites are performed at a graveyard in
\nZaria, thousands are expected to attend.<\/p>\n

In October, 2012, Albani, a fearless preacher, when asked whether he
\nis not scared for his life with regards to his anti-Boko Haram stand,
\nsaid, \u201cWe are not in any way afraid of any intimidation, we are only
\nafraid of God. We have no any sinister plans against anyone in our minds
\nand schedules; all we are doing is serving God and nothing more than
\nthat.<\/p>\n

“We are not against anyone, but anybody that wants to intimate us
\nshould go ahead and see the wrath of God. We are not organization but
\njust teaching and learning, you cannot compare us with those bothered
\nabout assuming leadership and followers. We do not have that in our
\nsetting.\u201d<\/p>\n
