Despite the threat of an arrest order, repentant Niger-Delta militants\u2019 commander, Chief Government Ekpemupolo, better known as Tompolo, on Thursday failed to appear before a Federal High Court in Lagos to answer to a 40-count charge of alleged N13bn fraud.<\/p>\n

The charges were preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.<\/p>\n

While all those who were co-accused in the suit, including a former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Patrick Akpobolokemi, were present in court, only Tompolo failed to appear.<\/p>\n

This led the trial judge, Justice Ibrahim Buba to issue a bench warrant on Tompolo, ordering the police to produce him in court by all means at the next sitting.<\/p>\n
