How Sad:Tyra Banks’ Daytime Show FABLife Canceled After First Season

Just a few months after supermodel Tyra Banks revealed she’d be exiting The FABLife, Disney-ABC Domestic Television announced that the syndicated TV show will not be returning for a second season.

“We’re extremely proud of everyone involved with the show and would like to thank them for all of their contributions and tireless efforts,” said Janice Marinelli, president, Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution (via The Hollywood Reporter).

“We are especially appreciative of our talented and dynamic co-hosts Chrissy Teigen, Joe Zee, Leah Ashley and Lauren Makk, and we would also like to extend a huge thanks to our station partners for all of their support.”

Banks, who served as a co-host and executive producer of the daytime show, left two months after it’s premiere.

“This is a very difficult decision, but necessary,” the 41-year-old said in a statement in November. “I will be devoting more time to my new, growing cosmetics company, TYRA Beauty, which is expanding faster than anticipated, as well as overseeing my company’s other entertainment ventures. I will however continue to support the growth and success of FABLife and greatly admire my fellow co-hosts and the talented production team behind the show.”

Teigen also took to social media during that time to shoot down rumors that she was the actual reason Tyra chose to leave. “I dunno if you guys know how bosses work but if Tyra and I were fighting as hard as you’re saying, I would be the one off the show,” she wrote.

A rep for Banks noted at the time of the announcement that she maintains her relationship with Disney/ABC, where in addition to FABLife, she will be developingLife-Size 2 for the Disney Channel.
